Professional Development

SeaClass PD

Professional Development is a multifaceted process.  The state and local district decide on the number of days or hours all personnel need for professional development. But how do they decide on what development should be taught.  Look to our reporting tools inside the SeaClass Performance Reports to give data on what is missing in the instructional program.

Our SeaClass Suite ties all of the functions of the evaluation process together. Many schools utilize the Walk through tool located inside SeaClass LP™ tool. The Principal has all of the information to do a formal evaluation in one tool.

SeaClass PD™ (Professional Development Workshop Registration) is a complete professional development tool. District leaders can plan and schedule staff development, while staff can register for the training on-line. Coupled with the tool is the formal evaluation instrument. This application is configured to the state evaluation instrument, but is completely customizable to local instruments as well.

iPhone and iTouch Support

One of the most exciting technologies for school administrators isSeaClass PD™. Many times professional development begins with theevaluation process.

The SeaClass PD™ tool is an innovative solutionthat allows the campus administration the ability to enter informationfor a formal evaluation directly into the system using a handheld device while in the teacher’s classroom.

Although this has been done with many devices, Seawinn is one of the first to endorse the Apple iPhone and iTouch as the preferred device. The iPhone provides the clarity that many school administrators have been wanting for some time.

Two current Seawinn clients have purchased the iPhone for all campus Principals and the iTouch for the Assistant Principals. Together, iPhone technology and SeaClass PD™ functionality is enhancing the way school administrators can work.
